Delete your Lekkafy account

In the Lekkafy app (Android)

1. 1Open Lekkafy and go to the More tab.
2. 2Scroll down and tap Delete account.
3. 3Read the warning, then tap Delete forever.

On the web

1. 1Sign in at lekkafy.com.
2. 2Go to Settings → Security → Delete account.
3. 3Type DELETE to confirm.

If you can't sign in any more

Email support@lekkafy.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my Lekkafy account”. We'll confirm it's you and delete the account within one calendar month.

• Your account and profile (name, email, settings).
• Every entry you added (expenses, income and investments), including ones added in Family mode. They also disappear from your family's view.
• Your budgets, custom categories and loans.
• Your membership of your family.

Deleted data is removed from our live database straight away and erased from backups within 30 days (currently about 7 days, when our database provider's daily backups roll off). Download any reports you want to keep first (Reports → Download, PDF or CSV).

• Backup copies: erased within 30 days of deletion. Our database provider currently keeps daily backups for 7 days.
• Sign-in security logs: kept for up to 90 days for security, then deleted automatically (we are confirming this figure with our provider).
• Support emails: kept only as long as needed to resolve your request, then deleted or anonymised.
• Email delivery records held by our email provider, for its own deliverability and abuse checks.
• AI requests sent to Google's Gemini service may be kept by Google for up to 55 days for abuse monitoring, under Google's terms.
• Legal holds: anything we're legally required to keep, only for as long as required.

You don't need to delete your account to remove specific data:

• Expenses, income and investments: open the entry and delete it.
• Budgets, loans and custom categories: open the item and delete it.
• Family: a member can remove themselves from the family on the Family screen.

To have other data removed (for example, everything from a certain period, or a copy of your data first), email support@lekkafy.com from your account's email address. We'll respond within one calendar month.
